Pink mobile Phone

In the beginning, two-way radios (known as mobile rigs) were used in vehicles such as taxicabs, police cruisers, ambulances, and the like, but were not mobile phones because they were not normally connected to the telephone network. Users could not dial phone numbers from their mobile radios in their vehicles. A large community of mobile radio users, known as the mobileers, popularized the technology that would eventually give way to the mobile phone. (Wikipedia)

Saint Cornelius was a Roman centurion who was baptized by Saint Peter; he became a bishop and a pope. He is worshipped in the village of Polemi in Southern Cyprus by those who follow the Greek Orthodox Religion; the simple shrine is in a field, under an olive tree. The rags represent the missing villagers from the 1974 invasion by the Turkish on the island, the year the island was split by war.

Deserted UK Telephone Box

The red telephone box, is a public telephone kiosk it was designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott. Despite a reduction in their numbers in recent years, red boxes can still be seen in many places in the UK or ex-British Colonies around the world (this one is sitting in a field in Cyprus). The colour red was chosen to make them easy to spot.
